Aaron Jones
I am a native New Mexican who began my security and law enforcement and protection / security career in the Los Angeles – Beverly Hills area in the early 1900s. During the course of my career, I have had the honor of serving my fellow man. I have been a Police Officer, Sheriff’s Detective, and Criminal Investigator. For the last eight years of my law enforcement career I served as a Homicide/Violent Crimes Detective, involved in the Executive Protection Industry and Protective Service Details for over 30 years. I transitioned my career to establishing the most elite security and investigation firm in the Southwestern United States. International Protective Service, INC. (IPS) was formed in 2006 and has provided security and investigations for everyday citizens as well as high-profile dignitaries and celebrities alike. With a reputation for outstanding performance, IPS grew into an industry leader.
Dan Carr
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois, and joined the Albuquerque Police Department in 2005. After nearly two decades of service with the Albuquerque Police Department (APD), I retired in January 2024. During my career, I worked ten years on patrol, five years in the DWI (driving while intoxicated) Unit, and four years as a detective in both the Internal Affairs Force Division and the Compliance Bureau. While working as a police officer, I earned a master’s degree in criminal justice, a Law Degree (J.D.), as well as completed an internship with the New Mexico Department of Justice (with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit). About two years ago, I started Police.Law.Newswhere I break down the most important issues in policing. During this journey, I appeared on podcasts Failure to Stop and On Being a Police Officer, appeared on OAN – Nights with Chris Boyle, and my commentary appeared in the NYPost. Throughout all my accomplishments, I love spending my time running half-marathon trail races and taking ski trips with my wife, two sons, and two dogs as many days as possible.
